History

Victoria started racing in Soap Box Derby with her sister, Brianne, when they were in grade school. After many attempts, she won a local championship and was able to go to Akron, Ohio and compete in the national races there. She attended the annual races in Ohio 3 years in a row by earning points and being eligible as a Rally champ or winning the local championship and going as Local Champ. She also earned National Point Championship in 2003. While in Akron, she competed in the All-American Soap Box Derby and won fastest heat time of the day out of all the competitors there.  Victoria traveled with her family across the East Coast to race in Soap Box Derby. She won numerous races over her 4 years of racing including a weekend in New Hampshire where she won all five races run that weekend. Once Victoria gained experience and practice, she began winning like this on a regular basis.

She has loved to watch her family race or just go to the races with friends but her dream was to be able to drive a race car herself. She finally has seen her dream materialize. She is racing this year at Stafford Motor Speedway in Dare Stock division which is a beginning division for new racers. She has never raced in a motorized vehicle until this season. She competed at Mototown USA, an indoor track in Windsor CT, to gain track time and a little experience before driving at Stafford. While at Mototown, she earned 3 fifth place finishes. One of these finishes was obtained by coming from 13th place. She hopes to continually gain experience, track time and better finishes as this season progresses at Stafford Motor Speedway.
